PRODUCTION UPDATE #4

One of the most emotional things Ive ever done is pack my Sham-Moo-Moo and Sting-Cobra prototypes to send off to the factory...
(they look like illegal substances!)
(the very last photo of them taken before their mummification)
Ive literally had these (my babies!) for over 2 years (Sham-Moo-Moo even longer!) and to see them finally make their voyage overseas to the factory was bittersweet... bitter in that they are GONE, but sweet as ALL HECK in that we're that much closer to GETTING THESE DANG THINGS IN FREAKING HAND!!!
(but still a ways to go!)
So here's where we're at:
- We are APPROVED to go to TOOLING - FINALLY! I actually gave the factory the thumbs up August 5th (with last second edits.)
- So NEXT is the factory goes to town on these things and make the steel molds (the most expensive part of the process, GOOD BYE MONEY!!!)
- Once the tooling is complete we wait for the first "Fine Cuts" / tests to make sure everything holds up in plastic.
Once I haven those in hand, and they have been thoroughly vetted by me and my production partner Chris, and we're STOKED and good to go, I'll provide an update and we'll have a final production calendar LOCKED.
I know this has been a SLOW process, but these are my babies, and they will be your babies too! So I wanted to make sure they were as perfected as possible instead of rushed to completion. I think the results (with some added bonus features) will make the wait worthwhile.

I actually got the Backerkit 100% DONE in late July, thanks to the help of an awesome awesome friend, Brandon, who sat down with me on a freaking Sunday before SDCC and we just banged it all out and he helped me solve all the technical weirdness issues I was running into. HE SAVED ME! So expect those surveys to go out SOON BABY!!!!

Hey Gang!
April and May were two crazy months. The whole situation with the tariffs really impacted me, less so MONSTORS, but my full time job is in consumer products, and my workload dropped by about half, so it was a bit of a scramble to figure some stuff out.
BUT I always find a way to plug along, but MONSTORS backerkit really took a back seat for a bit, and I appreciate everyones' patience with that.
The tariffs WONT affect anyone who pledged to the Kickstarter. Best case, these figures are through production and ready to hop into a container and onto a ship in December, and Im hoping things are more under control by then... if not, I'll make it work.
ANYWAYS, I know everyones heard a billion things about tariffs, and that's all I have to say about that, and now... FUN STUFF!

Next weekend, May 30th thru June 1st, Pasadena Convention Center, Booth #60, we'll be at Monsterpalooza with a bunch of Monstors stuff for show and tell!

For ANYONE who backed the kickstarter and can make the show, I'll have a surprise thing to show yah at the show. And AFTER the show, I'll make a proper update and share with all of you! But I just dont have the time to get that out to everyone before then, so this is my compromise.
SO, if you're in the area, and can make it to the show, DO IT! And as a bonus I'll show yah something really really really cool (I THINK) and everyone else will get to see it sometime in June, which will basically be a MEATY production update... YUSSS!!!

Trying not to spam everyone, but saw a recent Kickstarter for a comic that seems 100% up our alley, MOONMAN ZERO!
If you're a fan of late 80's and 90's properties like Battle Toads, Earthworm Jim, and Bucky O'Hare, and you like your superheroes mixed in with a little bit of Mar's Attacks, this is FOR YOU!
